PRE-K STUDENTS PRESENT BAYLOR UNIVERSITY

On April 8, 2016, Nettie Marshall Academy of Dual Language had an outstanding crowd visit their campus for Janie Morales’s Pre-K students’ presentation of Baylor University (BU).

“There were so many parents,” said Computer Teacher Hilda Villanueva.

Nettie Marshall begins their day at 7:45 a.m. with Jumpstart. This program includes the campus weekly announcements, pledges in dual languages, recognition of accelerated readers, birthdays, college star students and student achievements.

Every Friday after Jumpstart a class gives a presentation over their designated college. Every class from Pre-k through 5th grade has a college they present.

These presentations are performed for students to see different colleges and the different career opportunities available to them. This is an opportunity that gives students an early introduction to what colleges are out there and to learn which college they would like to attend.

Morales and her Pre-K students presented their college with pride wearing Baylor University’s colors green and gold! Parents filled the room to view the well-done presentation of BU.
